2. Their joy in you, a love too vast
For eloquent description or parables and sermons

3. I have seen some of what I have seen, so my understanding
The tears of joy on the cheeks flowing

4. And for joy as for sorrow there are tears
From the blessings of God, this wondrous sight

5. No old man nor child nor woman remains
Arabs and non-Arabs share love for you

6. And love is not like love in status
What is money, what is status without love, what is gold?

7. If those who were created for love were truthful
There would be no injustice, no hatred, no anger

8. For if these people loved you and inclined
Towards you their hearts, you are the origin and cause

9. You have crowned your love with kindness
Benevolence, generosity, and nobility beyond what is deserved

10. You who united the nation with tremendous effort and
Gave abundantly without begrudging what you give

11. And built a just state
In which love, not the Indian cane, flourishes

12. No prisons, no oppression, no disgrace
And no accusations but for what they have earned

13. You turned the deserts
With the fuel of the sun ablaze

14. Into palm trees, trees, and fruits
Whose bunches are figs, grapes, and dates

15. You took up the causes of all Arabs
Whether they drew near us or remained far

16. And extended a palm with abundant goodness
Giving, enriching, bringing life with your overflowing goodness to Arabs

17. With your return the homelands rejoiced
their peoples were delighted and you brought joy to the birds

18. Poetry chosen by the heart, blessed by
understanding, and refined by literature

19. Every rhyme permeated with love
Safeguarded from falsehood and lies

20. So praise be to God for blessing you
And praise be to God, evil and discord have ceased

21. And you have lived, Zayed, as treasure for our nation
with your mention rising to the highest ranks
