1. My horse, unmatched in ages past
Or those to come, without a peer,

2. With brow like the full moon when it shines
Illuminating the horizons clear,

3. With eyes like a docile oryx turning
Tirelessly, with vision sharp and sheer,

4. With neck like a graceful gazelle’s
Long locks of silk adorning, flowing near,

5. With barrel expansive, chest full and broad,
Back short yet stance assured, nothing to fear,

6. In form like a soaring eagle in flight
Should it stumble, to the sky it would veer,

7. No need of whip when set loose at full gallop,
Only the wind in its ears you would hear,

8. I bridle and saddle when headed uphill,
Seeking the heights is my sole aim and cheer,

9. I pray to my Lord for its wellness and health
For as long as I live, my Lord is most near.
