1. O Hussein son of Ali, nothing
That you have donePleases on any day when ill,

2. Taking money was not ordered of you,
This is surely rashness in Hussein.

3. O Hussein son of Ali, you of hope,
After me you will make a leap not to be borne,

4. And I wish I could witness it
And treat you with the finest manners,

5. After me there is none who could bear it
No link between money and the leap,

6. I fear you will pray with those
Whose sharp swords did first flash.
