1. The sun's eyebrows veiled the moon
With the veil of daylight
١. حَاجب الشَّمْس حَجَّبَ القمرَا
بحجَاب النَّهَارْ
2. And the dew shone like stars blossoming
In the spring sky
٢. وَجَلاَ الطَّل أنجماً زهُرَا
في سماء البَهَارْ
3. And the myrtle bent green and pliant
Above the meadow's cheek
٣. وَلَوَى الآسُ سَالِفاً خَضِرَا
فَوْقَ صدْغِ النَّوَارْ
