I see an iris embroidered among pearls
١. وَجَمْعٍ فِيهِ بِيضٌ ثُمَّ سُودٌ
أرَى سَبَجاً تَرَصَّعَ بَيْنَ دُرّ
2. Or basil revealed among the black ones
Spikes of violet amid the blossoms
٢. أو الرّيحَانَ فِي السُّودَانِ أبْدَى
مَفَاتِيلَ البَنَفْسَج بَيْنَ زّهْرِ
