1. Why, Ibrahim, have you turned away from me
And your withholding of peace is itself peace
١. أإبْرَاهِيمُ لِمْ أعْرَضْتَ عَنِّي
وَمَنْعُكَ لِلسَّلاَمِ هو السِّلاَمُ
2. See, the fires of your cheek have burnt me
Then where is the coolness in them and peace
٢. وَهَا نِيرَانُ خَدّكَ أحْرَقَتْنِي
فَأيْنَ البَرْدُ فيها وَالسَّلامُ
