1. And a night in which we gathered descriptions of a garden
That pleases when likened to those with insight
١. وَلَيْلٍ جَمَعْنَا فِيهِ أوْصَافَ رَوْضَةٍ
تَرُوقُ إذاَ مَا شُبِّهَتْ لِذَوِي النَّظَرْ
2. Our light, and the flowers, and the sea, and the dew
And our companion, and the garden, and the rain
٢. فَنَيِّرُنَا وَالزُّهْرُ وَالبَحْرُ وَالدُّجَى
وَمَالِكُنَا وَالصَّحْبُ وَالرَّوْضُ وَالْمَطَرْ
3. A pond, basil, and soul, and daffodils
And sun, horizon, stars, and pearls
٣. غَدِيرٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَرَوْحٌ وَنَرْجِسٌ
وَشَمْسٌ وَأفْقٌ وَالْكَوَاكب وَالدُّرَرْ
