1. If the full moon saw his radiant face,
It would prostrate itself before him.
١. لَوْ رأى البدرُ وَجْهَهُ الطَّلْقَا
لاَعْتَرَاهُ السُّجُودْ
2. Or if rain knew his abundant generosity,
It would be shy to pour down.
٢. أوْ دَرَى الغَيْثُ جُودَهُ الغَدْقَا
لاَسْتَحَى أن يَجُودْ
3. He surpassed all creation, yet embraced it,
Attaining the heights of glory.
٣. فَاقَ خَلْقاً وَقَدْ حوى خُلْقاً
