1. O you who persists in disobedience
How long will you remain in this state?

2. O you who plunges into the sea of sin
Engulfed by procrastination year after year

3. O you who wanders aimlessly
Letting the pasture go barren, pursued by regrets

4. Take the reins, do not let them slip
From the difficult task, laden with concerns

5. How much virtue has been blackened
By ugly deeds that dishonor all of repute

6. Did not the Sheikh, in his preaching
Warn you that time is running out?

7. The world smiled at you, and you greeted it
With cheer, acceptance and embrace

8. Yet you frowned at the devout and those
Who condemn the vile and praise the virtuous

9. The world's glamour and pleasures
Are but like a phantom in a dream

10. And who but the discerning see
Its true worth at the moment of passing?

11. An abode that, when blessed, torments
Or, when it enriches, breaches covenants

12. It never made a man happy with success
Except to later make him weep in anguish

13. It never quenched a thirst or fed the famished
Except to leave him craving that meal again

14. How often it betrayed and burdened souls
Surrendering them to disease and ills

15. Wretched is he who neglected his duties
Breaking promises and pacts

16. So take refuge in the Hereafter and leave this world
These dreams are but slumber

17. Do not spend your life heedlessly
For the sleeping have no share of the awakened

18. Repent, erase with it
The grave sins of the past

19. Cast off the cloak of sin, and don the robe
Of righteousness, however lowly in people's eyes

20. Commit to piety, and be obedient
For true success lies in compliance

21. Recite the Quran, and be compliant
For in the Quran lies the attainment of hopes

22. Raise your hands in supplication, and visit
Your peers, content with a modest standing

23. Send forth clouds of tears, travel the lands
Knocking on doors with the hands of poverty

24. Praise the Chosen One, the Elect
To gain favor lasting and secure

25. Muhammad, the Guide, the Beloved, the Youth
Sun of Exaltation, the Chosen, Best of Mankind

26. Opener and Seal, Guardian of the Creed,
Vanquisher of darkness, blotting out gloom

27. The First and Last, Origin of creation
Manifest and Hidden, Seal of Messages

28. Star of ascendance, refuge of souls, his sea
Is the mystery of Providence, pillar of order

29. Succor of the orphans, rain for the famished
Ocean of bounty, sanctuary for all peoples

30. Dawn of exaltation, blazing sun
Ascendant star, full moon of perfection

31. The Nearest, the Truest, Pleasing Intercessor
The Root, Protector, Brave and Bold

32. The Noblest, Most Virtuous, Godfearing Prophet
The Greatest, Highest, Leader and Imam

33. From a people, with angels and messengers
Circling him, coming before and behind

34. Who ascended the Lote Tree, rising beyond
To Sidrat al-Muntaha, to the highest station

35. Who saw his Lord and attained his hopes
Distinguished with honor and esteem

36. To whom Allah granted miracles that
None shall be granted till the Day of Reckoning

37. Who caused the chain to spring from his fist
And the boulder to glorify Him, and the food

38. The staff and stream, by his touch turned
One verdant, one gushing forth water

39. The moon split for him across the horizon
And the wolf spoke greeting after him with peace

40. The sun returned for him after setting
As did the shade of clouds protect him from heat

41. The palms came to him when beckoned
Of their own accord, as he willed and desired

42. The camel, crying out in agony
From the pain of slaughter, was calmed by his touch

43. The trench overflowed when he touched it
And a sa' fed a thousand fully

44. After plucking out, the eye was restored
And followed his lead, by the bridle led

45. And likewise the son of Ufra, healed it
Returning it whole after being severed by the sword

46. And how many were cured of illness
By his breath, and how many ills were remedied

47. And how many, how many were relieved of afflictions
And how many grave matters were resolved

48. And how many signs he manifested
That truly astounded all of mankind

49. He is the Beloved, the Chosen, the Pleased
He is the Intercessor, Refuge on Judgment Day

50. He is the one I hope will heal
My body from frailty and exhaustion

51. He is the one I hope will return me soon
To the Ancient House, the Sacred Sanctuary

52. He is the one I hope, when death's envoy arrives
And distress overcomes me, will be my defender

53. He is the one I hope will make me successful
In my grave and the Greatest Struggle to come

54. He is the one I hope will bless my patron
The Imam, the Great, Abode of Glory

55. He is the one I hope will grant success
To the Pleased, the Auspicious, Haven of Days

56. He is the one by whom sins will be pardoned
For my fathers and teachers on the Day of Assembly

57. He is the one I hope will forgive
My fathers and teachers on the Day of Assembly

58. He is the one I hope my praises of
Will conclude my beginning with a good end

59. May Allah bless him as long as
The hands of dawn unfold the darkness's veil

60. And his Family and Companions, as long as
The star of felicity shines at the summit of high abodes
