1. O succor of the poor, answer my plea
For I have called on you in utter need, O Generous One.

2. Let not this cough fell my body,
How could it, when you are Merciful and Compassionate?

3. Hasten my recovery, be merciful and forgiving,
For you are Powerful, Kind and Wise.

4. Grant me that which I hope from your bounty,
For you know well that which I desire.

5. I beseech you by the Intercessor - how could I be shamed
When my reliance is on your beloved, O Forbearing One?

6. Far be it that I should suffer, for I have been blessed
With praising the Chosen One, a sure refuge.

7. I hold fast to his standing that I may attain my wish
For with you his standing is the greatest standing.

8. Upon him be the prayers of my Lord for as long
As the wafting breeze stirs or the night falls still.
