1. From his bed he rose to regret
And the dawn with its light enveloped me
١. عَن مَضجعه قامَ إِلى النَدمانِ
وَالصُبحُ بريدُ ضَوئِهِ وافاني
2. So his brilliance seemed deceitful to my eyes
As a second dawn shone for all to see
٢. فارتدَّ سَناه كاذِباً في نَظَري
إِذ أَشرَقَ لِلعُيون صُبحٌ ثانِ
