١. لا تَدعُ إِلى الشربِ نَديماً زارا
مِن غيرِ غناءٍ يَقِف الأَطيارا
2. No blood of grape has people shed
That I have not seen among them strings.
٢. ما صَبَّ دمَ الزِقِّ أُناسٌ فجروا
إِلّا وَرأيتُ بينهم أَوتارا
