1. Without conflict, the sword is sheathed
If I meet them and the sword's edge is turned away
١. دونَ ذَوي الخلاف سَدُّ السَيفِ
إِن أَلقَهُمُ وُرِّدَ حَدَّ السَيفِ
2. If I avert calamities and drive away sins
The uniter and preventer is the sword's edge
٢. إِن أَحوِ رَغائِباً وَأَدفَع نُوَباً
فالجامِع وَالمانِع حَدُّ السَيفِ
