1. A kiss distressed me, passing its proper place;
I bent my course to follow its track again.
١. ساءَتنيَ قُبلَةٌ عَدَت مَوضعها
من فيه فَثنَّيتُ لِكَي أُتبِعَها
2. My mouth had been greedy, missing his mouth, I found;
My kiss alighted where it belonged to alight.
٢. لِلسَبِّ شَحا فاه فَهنّأتُ فَمي
