1. I could not tell where the heart that my hands protected
Had settled in its place,
١. لَم أَدرِ وَما اِستَقَرَّ في مَركَزِهِ
قَلبٌ عَلِقت بِهِ يَدا مُحرِزِهِ
2. Whether it was in the space my heart possessed
Or my heart was with it, and in its place.
٢. في حَيِّز قَلبيَ الَّذي يَملكُهُ
أَم قَلبي عنده وَفي حَيِّزِهِ
