1. I am amazed at the craft of Ibn al-Husayn
How does it float and not sink?
١. عَجِبتُ لِحُرّاقَةِ اِبنِ الحُسَينِ
وكَيفَ تَعومُ وَلا تَغرَقُ
2. With two seas beneath it as one
And another on top pressing down
٢. وَبَحرانِ مِن تَحتِها واحِدٌ
وَآخَرُ مِن فَوقِها مطبِقُ
3. Yet more amazing are its sticks
Though touched, how do they not ignite?
٣. وَأَعجَبُ مِن ذاكَ عيدانُها
وَقَد مَسَّها كَيفَ لا تورِقُ
