When my hands disobey in their strength,

7. Not seeing a supporter for one who seeks vengeance.

8. Where I get fellowship from its flock.
They graze saying my name,

9. The Banoos and Samras spend their nights.
And from a jealous one in his yard,

10. I take cover behind safety from his harm.
And blood that I spilled carelessly

11. Did not intend sanity upon its loss.
He risks his warriors for me

12. And ransoms me over his followers.
Then below youth came an infirmity

13. That turned me over upon my bed.

32. Your palms would be cracked from its rocks.
How many guests of security in positions

33. Have refused fear within their positions.
Like the son of fear in the settled abode of wine

34. Intoxicated by security from its wine.
And Zaħūf in his small ships

35. Like the cries of war in its matter.

36. In his drinking sessions and disputations.
So his tribe struck his hand from him,

37. Bending the sword from its sharpness.
You visited him while the horses were frowning,

38. Bearing misery to its furthest reaches.
Emerging under his flag

39. Like the emergence of birds from their nests.
