1. Your misdeeds against us are not hidden
So reconcile with whoever you wish to reconcile

2. We truly know your affairs
Without doubt or disagreement

3. You have befriended those unworthy
And claimed to be virtuous

4. A people whose true nature on the day of reckoning
Cannot be concealed from the wise

5. What I have heard of this matter suffices me
And let me say this in some verses

6. When your close friend shows you his estrangement
Then turn away from him quickly to avoid him

7. Do not remain miserable loving him
And destroy yourself in pits of misery

8. You will find a thousand other friends
Whose hearts are pure and reconciled

9. One friend is not enough for a friend
Nor a thousand friends sufficient

10. Avoid his love and leave your passion
And reconcile with whoever you wish to reconcile
