1. Greetings and welcome, O noble and generous one
You have come like a heroic man, relieving sorrow

2. You have come, may God protect you, O best of newcomers
To the best of people, grateful for your great effort

3. For you are rain on parched land, quenching the thirsty
And sustenance for what people and animals grow

4. You descend from the loins of noble Hashimites
So each person desires you, as is his right

5. You are noble in nature and lineage
So from one nobility you ascend to another

6. For clearly you have left temporary rule
Yet your rule over souls remains eternal

7. You have inherited from your forefathers the greatest position
With no decrease or doubt to its extremity

8. It is the sublime, divine position - so stay with it
Honored and God's favor is upon you, O best of all

9. I respectfully call you Abu Khalid al-Thani
And from his name came the name of the conqueror of Spain

10. Though explicitly saying your name brings me healing
And for the spiteful slanderer, sickness and ruin

11. Live well Abu al-Rizq and be comforted in your travels
And long live your noble sons and daughters

12. You have the merit on this feast of redemption - so claim it
And sacrifice yourself for you, O excellent and unmatched one

13. I did not compose poetry desiring anything futile from it
Even if I wanted, prose and verse would not suffice

14. But it is a right for the family of Muhammad
That I fulfill it while alive or in the grave

15. Not every coin circulates at full value
Nor does every critic know the science of currencies

16. Stay with your serenity in power, may you be accompanied by praise
And the guiding star followed by another star
