1. When I saw the guide into the passion of love

Even as I sew it, it comes apart

12. I chose to rest from sorrow
And leave him, for honesty suits the noble

13. Shall I remain miserable in love of one I thought
A friend, while in betrayal they are characterized?

14. If I say, “O you, thus you will do”
He weeps in fear, though his face speaks of the deed

15. His actions belie his words to me
And the truth remains, while lies perish

16. I am an assayer for alloy in my time
And no dross remains with the test
