1. When Allah waters a garden with rain
And singles out every water lily for watering

2. Its leaves are cloaked in emeralds
At night and in the day they do not cloak

3. Thieves feared for it so they wrapped
Themselves around it at night fearing it would appear

4. When the bees from their hiding places
Did not take precautions between them they are buried

5. As if its petals were the eyelids of one
Who loved and could not stay awake

6. As if they were a silver chalice inlaid
With emerald green bases

7. Delighting in its beauty and aroma
