1. O my two friends, prepare for me my mount
And tomorrow hide that from my companions
2. Convey my greetings to the messenger
From Mina, next to the rock piles
3. And let him know that I have fallen ill
With an ailment piercing my ribs beneath the cloak
4. Then Zainab averted with her face intentionally
For fate, mother of all loved ones
5. So my two companions saw that and said
Words that were mistaken, no response from me
6. That my heart, the one with sense, in what
May be seen outwardly by the eye of the afflicted
7. So I turned back what was said ignorantly
With words I had spoken rightfully
8. If you've concealed my illness today
Then leave me, for what is in me is enough
9. Except that I wished torment
Would be poured upon you one day from my torment
10. So you would taste some of what I tasted
Or live a period like my living
11. You won't attain that union with her
Or attain the sky with causes
