1. O lightning, flash from a village
Whose dwellers suffer its scorching flashes

2. Like a serpent it winds
Yearning for its burrows and lairs

3. Clouds whose floods
Spread over the earth with pouring rain

4. They promised in the morning of departure
But separation's partnership is treacherous
