1. Turn aside to the abandoned abode
And the quarter from Asma and the dwelling

2. And the sitting place of the women after separation
Is it not the easiest terrain therein?

3. Beside Al-Bawaba it does not regard
The succession of time to rehabilitate it

4. It is me, not you two, that kindled
A dwelling for yearning so do not hasten

5. If you two are free of my need
One day, for the truth is to beautify

6. The dwelling reminded me of what I missed
About it so turn aside for an hour and ask

7. If the dwelling becomes vacant of its people
Melodies of its portrayal erased

8. For I see it and in it a particle
Like the waving water of the withered meadow

9. The days of Asma in it, fertile
Luxuriant, grazing tender green

10. She said to her two foster daughters
Do you recognize the approaching man?

11. A girl with her said, A crusher
Turning threshing floors that did not fail

12. This is Abu Al-Khattab, she said yes
