Before the crushing of grain
١. حَيِّيا أُمَّ يَعمَرا
قَبلَ شَحطٍ مِنَ النَوى
2. I said, "Do not hasten the departure."
But they said, "Yes, indeed!"
٢. قُلتُ لا تُعجِلوا الرَوا
حَ فَقالوا أَلا بَلى
3. The tribe gathered for travel
And so my heart is filled with sorrow
٣. أَجمَعَ الحَيُّ رِحلَةً
فَفُؤادي كَذي الأَسى
