Who benefited me manifold what I sought

29. He tamed fate with his wisdom so by his judgment

32. Hardships have accompanied his foes until they became
Rubble since their structures crumbled

34. His sword in each calamity pursues those who flee
So it guides them in every confusing place

35. And terrifies them until they bid farewell
To their souls convinced of inevitable doom

36. So how often has he made the sea a desert with his foes
And the desert a sea from the blood of their necks

37. And soon he shall sip a draft
That remains for him from the finest vin key

40. You surpassed all in devising every virtue
That wearies the land even partially applied

41. You eclipsed mention of predecessors with some of them
So however much they are praised it falls short

42. You are the son of one whose resolve strengthened the caliphate
With the sword between hypocrite and counterfeit

43. And he got it right in wisdom for intellects
Had not gained such insight before him

44. And you inherited this kingdom from him by his fortune
As it came to you while you sought it urgently

45. So congratulations on this feast for it is blessed
With the plentiful grace of your copious favors

With which to be numbered among pilgrims

48. For through your face each day we have the likes of it
Two feasts when you approach and we draw near
