1. The poems and rhymes flourished
Since they were connected to our Master Al-Awafi

2. And the ideas were refined into every meaning
As the necklaces were pleasing when uncovered

3. And happiness cooled every heart
Burning with sorrow from wearing veils

4. And the beds were prepared after thinking
That filled them with tongues and lips

5. And your generosity quenched every condition
In which the emigrant of drought was parched

6. And the light of your face shone in fear
Like the hidden predawn darkness

7. The bitterness of life and homesickness
We were made to drink violently, not pure

8. Oh Kaaba of generosity in which
No hope was absent from circling

9. When hopes were made sick by despair
And became of faint breaths

10. So your comfort is their healer
Who cures without wellness with grants

11. By the command of the Commander, the nights ended
In my state of concord and disagreement

12. For they are his party’s honey but
To his enemies like lethal poison

13. Oh son of the two birds to the heights
With abundant arrivals and departures

14. I praised you and summarized, and that is the meaning
I hint with perceptions subtle

15. For if I prolonged praise, my effort
Would end with admitting my shortcoming

16. And your praise in God's book is a text
And your sufficiency from it is enough, whatever enough

17. You remain enjoying life ransomed
With the delight of each inaccessible and present

18. Congratulated every year you live
Happy with arrival and departure

19. Farewelling each traveler friend
And meeting each newcomer ally

20. Fearsome of might, hopeful of gifts
So your displeasure destroys, and your approval heals
