1. Springtime came, the brother of refreshed souls,
Beautifying the world in most splendid attire.

2. So let us enjoy the season's salt, with haste,
And attain from it a share unstinted.

3. And welcome the meadows, fragrant each time
The breeze blows over them like a breath.

4. The blossoms of plants are like garlands
Strewn on the expanse of velvet.

5. The roses blush when the mouths of buds
Kiss their cheeks from narcissus eyes.

6. As if passionate love astonished them
And turned their thoughts to bowed heads.

7. As if the branches grow cheerful whenever
The wind whispers a secret to them.

8. And as if the rustling of leaves on their branches
Were words from an eloquent mute.

9. The water, the hands of morning have toyed with,
Relating something to a frowning forehead.

10. As if the winding of the winds on the soft sand
Were traces of scratches on the neck of a young goat.

11. The birds freely wander the gardens
Seeking sustenance, early and late.

12. The wild creatures between cliffs and raptors,
And sandgrouse between gardens and churches.

13. They visit the pond, unquenched,
And attain from its edges what they never planted.

14. The sun adorns its eastern horizons
In two robes, saffron and crimson.
