1. And though she may mock me, if her eyes
Could see the terrors that around me rise,
١. وَساخِرَةٍ مِنّي وَلَو أَنَّ عَينَها
رَأَت ما أُلاقيهِ مِنَ الهَولِ جُنَّتِ
2. She would relent, and wandering sadly there
Would hush the goblins stirring through the air;
٢. أزَلُّ وَسِعلاةٌ وَغولٌ بِقَفرَةٍ
إِذا اللَّيلُ وارَى الجِنَّ فيهِ أرَنَّتِ
