1. Egypt's veil has been lifted,
And the heavy burdens have been eased.

2. The land shook with joy and grew,
And it shone with illumination and lights.

3. It was like a dawn with darkness above,
Surprised by the rising of stars.

4. The sun used to be veiled by clouds at noon,
But torn apart by the winds of storms.

5. Today it is cloaked in robes of white,
Adorned with lucky belts.

6. Its paths used to overlap,
For grayness takes no shame in persistence.

7. The faces of lands now glow,
Free of gloom and stains.

8. They swagger with glory over all nations,
And excel with the wings of a soaring eagle.

9. Look how it wears the jewels of whiteness, without which
Its territories would not have been clear to people.

10. It became like a garden sprayed with drops,
Its faces are white flowers.

11. Some congratulate some over
Dispelling gloom and easing hardship.

12. Some of its doors boast of victory,
Others are known for opened sustenance.

13. It has a gate for happiness and relief,
Each neighbor therein to his brother.

14. Zadilla's distress has gone,
How many nails were hammered for entry!

15. Its nails and screws happily hammered
Making music of joy for the winds.

16. Its streets widened for the people,
Markets and walls saw the light.

17. Its shops used to complain of trampling hooves,
Yet today they are virgins.

18. The custom of the broken gate is mended
With care, construction and carpentry.

19. Today its dwellers are in paradise,
With rivers flowing under it for keen sights.

20. The arch of its gate willingly bent
To its pull, and muted enemy bowstrings.

21. Qanater's gate astonished the sea
With Shubra's gate wearing no pants.

22. As for the mosques, they have relieved their mosques
Filled with praises and invocations.

23. Al-Saleh mosque has perfected its conciliation,
That its ruins became virgins.

24. When people complained of Egypt's narrowness,
And thoughts of governors fell confused,

25. None received the wages of its dwellers,
Except the Prince guided by knowledge.

26. He is the determined system, elevated in steps
Of virtue, our Lord unites the companions.

27. With resolve and will, none in the horizons
Command and forbid, spend and hold.

28. He tightened the rope of his powers while rising,
Unsheathed the sword of his scope while reproaching.

29. Without his determination Egypt would not be beautiful,
And the Nile branch dries if rains do not wish.

30. His tendency to truth befits him,
In nature, shunning the vanities of money.

31. Since Yahya rose from the fallen land,
Its dead were aided by fate.

32. Why not, and the dear victory came to him
An emigrant, and days are his supporters.

33. How much gloom was dispelled by his face,
And sorrows were removed by his eyes!

34. If you attempt limiting his virtues' enclosure,
Beyond that are lifetimes and ages.

35. The beauties of Egypt wished for him
Hearing and sight for its beauties.

36. By my life, this is the pride
Egypt boasted in, so it is beauty, bounty of the abode.

37. It remains a garden of safety for the people,
Its shade stretched, fruits lasted.

38. The Nile branch has not swayed with sleeves dancing,
Nor have birds sung to the willows.
