1. The horizons of prosperity shone with flashes,
And the moons of joy rose in it.

2. After disappearing, a star appeared to the eyes,
It had a glimmer in the hearts.

3. The eyes of the people of wisdom were delighted with its appearance,
In the horizon when success was granted.

4. God is the Greatest on the glorious day of August,
A great feast adorned with decoration.

5. And time congratulated us on the return of the kingdom,
It is confident and true with pride.

6. And he came determined with happiness,
And appeared confident of success.

7. The benevolent Khedive, the chosen one,
The lord of pride, our mighty Tawfiq.

8. The flags were raised for him on the day of his arrival,
And they fluttered for him in the hearts.

9. Joy spread throughout the country,
The soul of the soft breeze was fragrant.

10. Happiness sang for him melodies of celebration,
And clapping appeared to applaud its beauty.

11. The orbit of planets became a scribe,
Who came and you are a kind friend.

12. God gave you awe and brilliance,
You were granted it and you are worthy.

13. Your honorable traits are wholesome, you are without a doubt,
Noble and prestigious.

14. You have merits that no man can enumerate,
The wise man is too narrow to assess them.

15. You have sovereignty that only an ignorant or atheist would deny,
The fire of anger burned the livers of enemies.

16. And what was between the ribs became severe flames.
They disbelieved the blessings you were destined,

17. Which flows over a drop of dew and exceeds it.
And it crossed the sea though it was drowning in your bounty before.

18. And the bitter water became sweet through your good fortune,
As if it is the purest wine for the drinkers.

19. They wronged themselves with the deceit of their plots,
And scheming harms its people and perishes.

20. You divided their groups so their place,
Is in separation and in terrible torment.

21. Victory is your helper and time has risen,
Serenity is a slave and perfection a friend.

22. Your justice marched through the whole land,
So it marches to you, praising and guided.

23. They praised with attributes you are beyond enumeration,
Though they are sweet to us and pleasing.

24. Like the praise of an ideal, it is the shortest shortcoming,
Alas! It does not befit you my master and is not appropriate.

25. But the deeds of a man match his caliber,
They appear and who has this composition?
