1. The caller to prayer has called, and people celebrate Eid,
My heart is sated with the new Nile,

2. The fragrance of this day intoxicates us,
We smell incense in the palm of the young man.

3. We rejoice at the flowers and the dew,
We surpass the happy one by a thousand Eids,

4. Every time joy returns with celebration,
The caller to intimacy lives in blissful life.

5. If the critics blame us when we rejoice,
Tell them: "You have erred in your witnessing."

6. And they left our gathering in their neglect,
Despite the enemies, to our defiance.

7. To those who blame me for it,
I say: "This is but an increase in love."

8. They charge me with rejecting their desire,
While I cannot deviate from my passion.

9. He bears no guilt for my torment,
For the Lord is not unjust to His servants.
