1. Do not threaten to kill Ali,
For his threats are empty and futile.

2. We in the valley of Mecca, if summoned
For your tribe of Banu Amr are few.

3. Those who led the advanced group when they repented
And came to you, how few they are!

4. When we grew weak and our wealth
Was diminished by moving and descending,

5. You made us prey for them
To destroy us, Uraynah or Salul.
