1. I woke the veiled one
As the sun approached the setting

2. She looked to the western horizon
Eagerly the ailing one looked

3. And light dissolved his body
Her sickness the cause of his fading

4. She did not spoil his pleasure with her arrival
Until she went back at nightfall

5. So he regained conscious awareness
But enjoyed no rest at dusk

6. He yearns with the gaze of one slain
Never a day passed without loss

7. The gleam glimpsed his darkness
From the eyes of faint dawn

8. I said “Guide me to the paths of delight
With limpid nectar flows”
