١. يا مَن تَنَزَّهُ عَيني في مَحاسِنِهِ
فحينَ أضحَكَها بالحُسنِ أَبكاها
2. You fed them tidbits then you went away taking them with you—
None is, for this or that, sufficient in love to console them.
٢. أطعَمتَها في الكَرَى ثمَّ ارتَحلتَ بِه
ما كانَ عَن ذا وذا في الحُبِّ أغناها
3. You are the doctor of an illness for which
Physicians had long gathered in a time and failed to cure.
٣. أنتَ الطَّبِيبُ لِداءٍ طالَما اجتَمَعت
له الأطبَّاءُ في وَقتٍ فأَعياها
