1. The night concealed what was intended
And the heavens willed something of that
١. الليلُ أخفَى لما يُرادُ ومِن
ذلِكَ شَيءٌ أَرادَه الفَلَكُ
2. On a night not fearing the dawn would arrive
And expose its secret intent
٢. في لَيلةٍ لَم تَدُر مَخافَة أَن
يُدرِكهُ صُبحُها فَيَنهَتِكُ
