1. I flee from hordes of gadflies
To a single one whose bite is sharp.
١. وإنِّي لأعدُو من بَراغِيثَ جَمَّةٍ
إِلى واحدٍ مِنهنَّ ذي جَرَيانِ
2. It cures me of their burning with its chill.
Who cures pinch with pinch, pray?
٢. يُعلِّلُني مِن حرِّهِنَّ بِبَردِه
ومن ذا يُداوي القَرصَ بالقَرَصانِ
