1. What of the one with excessive pride
And what of the one with excessive hopes

2. Death will equalize him tomorrow
So today is better than tomorrow

3. O judge of the final stroke, judge by
What the eye has seen, not what the hand has done

4. You have the right not to be wary
Of the consequences of the debased act

5. For the defiant is only
Influenced by defiance

6. From my family and my country
Alone, so what is there

7. To fear from the lonely one
God, who will end my life, has granted safety

8. To whoever lives or encounters
The sons of Abu Muhammad

9. None other than them wants
To seek me from anyone

10. I have a generous nature whose water
Is like the facing of generosity

11. And you cannot attain moisture
Except from the generous face

12. It is the way of their fathers
Each one following the other

13. A people to whom the highest
Praise applies and from whom it originates

14. And the existing resemblance is derived
From the blessing of birth
