Who can dam the open path?

11. Neither his fame nor the dew
Left him, nor did they leave his money asker

12. So everyone I thought was listening
I thought was speaking

13. How his fingers outstripped his thoughts
As if there were a stray idea in them

14. So he does not clothe naked leaves
Unless he wore an ineffectual word

15. And calamities—before them I used to think
I would soon gain closeness to you

16. And you were like the reaper in my eyes, and he
Who did not earn spent the harvest
