1. She allured me, had I been cautious
My eyes would not have reveled in her allure

2. I would have lowered my gaze and not cast a glance
Knowing the consequence of that gaze

3. As long as one has roving eyes
He remains at the mercy of tempting sights

4. Gladdened by the joy, though hurt inside
No welcoming a joy that ended in harm

5. You see his heart exposed as prey
As if it were wealth displayed in plain sight

6. To all who seek it among mankind
A nature generous, time does not change

7. Though nights change states over time
A resolve forever shining bright

8. However short days make it seem
He who lives content finds his quest

9. And is pleased though life may get hard
My words counsel, if you hear them
