1. Wronging them, though how many have wronged me,
And were more unjust;

2. I praise what I know not in them,
Going to extremes in deceit through my words—

3. Would that deceit could be understood!
As if they are moulded to one character,

4. O son of gain.
You alone saved yourself with your soul;

5. You are blamed not, nor accused.
So be safe! For I wonder

6. That you should be resigned to that.
