1. When you meet the tribe of Qais, say to them—
While life endures, do you gloat over us?

2. Hanifa claimed she would not protect them
With their blood, though I think she will protect.

3. They lied—the House of God will make you do that
Until He razes Khandaq like Hazram.

4. Or until they see its Tyrant and Guardians
With smoke rising above it and hellfire.

5. Were you not Kharijites stuffed with nothing,
Whose shoulders and chests thrust you away?

6. Beware! Obey in this and you’ll wake up
Humbled and amassed, covered in shame.
