A fawn, yet descending upon my heavens

A promise and did not allow the goodness of closeness

Of a sorceress who hunted a flock of sheep

11. With his disapproving expression and seducing glance
He captures people with green and red

12. The seducer of virgins, and I said the prime of youth
Is my fervor for the critic and the seducer

13. A drink for the days of meeting, and O you who gives drink
To the mouth of the beloved, its correctness and my drink

14. I did not forget when he came shaking his body
Confused and conversing with me with what delights me

15. So I saw a branch above which was the full moon of night
Girded about the two waists with the eyelids

16. I cry for it from what I found of vows
Pearls, so it smiles with knots of vines

17. Infatuated with nearing if I drew him close
He whispers, and if I distanced him, he drew me near

And turns away while my fervor is directed toward his cheek

19. How many nights I spent with his talk
While his glance was interwoven with mine

20. Wearing chastity and youth so desire allures
And piety prohibits me

21. Until the morning shone like the cheek of glorious Ma'bad
Increasing thereby the honor of the hillsides of Lebanon

22. He is the source of sublime honor, and who contends
Supreme might and star of notables

23. Who settled in the chest of virtues and sublimity
Covered with beauty and benevolence

24. Lord of beauty, father of perfection, and goal of
Hopes, then outcome of times

25. The sublime, unique of the earth, lion of adversity
Rain of heavy clouds, master of peers

26. What an excellent trustee of praise and panegyrics
Cultivator of clouds with his speeches

27. My lord from the wandering meteors, it has elevated with him
The lofty lineage to the ancestry of Adnan

28. He and eloquence, courage, munificence, and retaliation
Glory, supremacy a suckling babe of Lebanon

29. With the brilliance of his appearance and good augury
They will last, conversing the two moons

30. His prosperity has not desisted since he was weaned
Except a piercer of the enemy and achiever of hopes

31. His hands shook Ibn Zayid with dew
And Ibn Mu’di and Samhuri with spears

32. Eloquent poetry has become his nature
Rushing at Suhban upon Suhban

33. He became a brother of generosity and a bestowing author
Of ready generosity and meanings

34. Through him manners prevailed and became honored so he does not
Find a second in eloquence

35. He took away bashfulness with subtlety and brilliance
The hearing and listening with the magic of rhetoric

36. O master of princes, grandees, poets and benevolence and custom
O son of the one in the garden of whose just rule

37. And bestowal the two seas surge
The heights were adorned by his glory a necklace of years and safety

38. He is the bearer of victory and prosperity
And the warner with a cutting sword

39. I dedicate eulogies to you which I compared
To your virtues with pearls and coral

40. Grant them acceptance though I fell short
And submit with friendship and regards
