1. O server of wine, desire has kindled longing
Arise and serve it to me gently and fill my cup

2. And give it to me in the morning like the dawn
The breeze blew gently and the time awoke

3. Take off your veil as glory is revealed to you
Do not heed the words of a blamer or advisor

4. For comfort is only the comfort of souls, arise
And gain from life and pleasures what it grants

5. Go early to the garden, at dawn split open its fragrance
Bring and take the cups early at daybreak

6. Early bringing matured, freshly fermented wine
That makes the soul rapturous and intoxicated

7. Wine that unleashed over the cups for us
From its bubbles stars that shone with joy

8. I entered its tavern at night, wandering
So dawn shone and the meadows bloomed

9. Its wineskin was made of its ferment like gold
And its strainer of silver with holes profiting it

10. How many nights did I spend with it, the cup passing
Circling, poured by a tender gazelle grazing

11. Swaying, soft of limbs, a supple branch of willow
In the morning, its slender figure the dawn revealed

12. A cup-bearer who heals lovesickness, though his wine’s arrows
Have wounded me, but his glances have also healed

13. He spread my fervor with his intoxicating eyelashes
And the finest thing about love is when it is bare

14. His golden veil, my soul it took away
And his languid lid, the lid of the hungover, it poured away

15. You see under his forelock his love-craze
Night and day together, the best of what it granted

16. I have become not ceasing love of him ever
And not heeding any reproacher blaming me

17. I busy myself with love of him, busying myself with praising a brother
Honor not for gaining praise what inclined

18. I mean the Prince whom from the excess of his comfort
My clouds of generosity pour whenever allowed

19. A noble master, his decree excellent or his era prosperous
And bestower from the inheritance of glory predominant

20. Bringer of victory, his rising sun we saw
A fortunate star, the highest heavens glared

21. A lion who melts the enemies in awe, his might
If he shook his sharp sword or threw a spear

22. Sincere, his thoughts roused
To gain glory but through it succeed

23. Justice sings joyfully in his plains
And security grazes blissfully in his meadows

24. How many criminals spent the night thirsty by his power
And many poor soaked by the dew of his palms

25. The highest ranks became flourishing for him
When he cloaked himself in the garb of glory

26. The people filled with joy at his position
And if it were attacked, honor cannot be erased

27. It did not leave my heart, rather it showed wisdom
And its edge was never for another ambitious

28. To you I gift this delight, O you who cheers with it
The cup of joy and celebration overflowed

29. With a robe its glory brought, and prosperity came with it
Continually gracing it and not moving on

30. Radiant it came calling, smiling
That the morning for eyes has become clear

31. So relax the lips of glory when wishes smile
For you and time becomes gentle and awakes

32. And the daughter of thought came happy to serve
A loyal servant praising you here

33. Accept it and stay with victory and secure peace
No bird above the land’s branches louder sang
