8. The water of beauty pleased me in her cheek
So it showed me a thirsty man its springs

9. She swayed with coquetry, straight posture
And established over the branches propriety

10. Her beauty captured the hearts of humankind
With a glance, executing its judgments

11. And she scattered magic from the eyes that tells
Of Saalih's generosity and composition

12. Superior, the stars appeared with compositions
Under which the train of words graze

13. And it rose, the garden of literature's peak
So its elegance and imam shone

14. Skillful serving the delicacies of meaning
In the structures of his lines, his pens

15. He gifted me with the fruits of generous verse
That makes pearls and corals envy its arrangement

16. The best poetry adorned with rhythmic feet
Arabs stood from its example, leaders restrained

17. In it there is magic of rhetoric
And wonders that erased those before it

18. May God grant you long life, you are most deserving
Of this praise, O Saalih, of all nobility

19. Live well and take the intent of thought
You have replaced for them the new moon's crescent

20. So forgive her when she appeared
From a lover who declared to you his passion
