1. Her cheek dyed with roses enchanted you
So tears streamed from your eyes out of passion

Are inclined to captivate the kindred of love and moles

Even if my noble, pure-blooded uncle blames me

6. We climbed up it many times, the vine
By my soul that vine and mole

7. Its tresses and pearls have become
An interwoven brocade dress and mole

8. And when her glances hit every love-crazed soul
Around her neck from its branches hung a mole

9. If they captivate the people of beauty
To them belongs dominion over the people of passion and moles

10. Passion is but chivalry and fidelity
And it has no one but a glorious, gallant man with a mole

11. And how many claim love who are not worthy of it

21. By your life, if you come to Damascus then rush
To the west wind that whiffs, mole

22. And greet with my passions on a perfumed rug
As if it was fostered by the barren, mole

23. And if the antelopes asked you about me, say
By the pacts of love he is loyal, mole

24. And if they say, "Has patience survived us?"
Say, "His patience failed and desire has no rein, mole"

25. Every period of adversity has an outcome
But the vicissitudes of fate have no rein, mole
