4. A full moon that rose for the children of honor
Illuminating the necklaces of pearls from pens

5. And likewise the principles of arithmetic are as if
Gems glistening with narcissus and chamomile

6. Whose beauty dazzles you when it appears
And conveys any meaning you wish to the thirsty

7. The one with the radiant smile, knowledgeable in languages, you amazed
The Arabs and non-Arabs alike

8. O you who reside in my soul and are depicted
In my eyelid, treat me kindly in my sleep

9. You reminded this lover of his heedlessness
And my heart affectionately with blame

10. I swear by the covenant of your love for companionship
And by what appears in my ribs and bones

11. That is not apart from your affection, no, never
Will praise depart from my mind and purpose
