1. The congratulations of joy with pleasure are blooming,
When the bright full moon of beauty appeared.

2. It sways like a moist branch and bends,
Lost in yearning, by Allah, what yearning!

3. A gazelle whose glance preoccupied minds,
And roams among her lovers restlessly.

4. It has taken my heart hostage, and how much it torments it!
My critic, you have violated the prohibition of the prohibitor.

5. I ransom with it the eyelids from anguish,
And its lover spent the night suffering, moaning.

6. A full moon from the Turks, whose beauty shone,
So the passionate became distracted.

7. Woe to the passionate whose reason is confounded!
The lovers-oh!-from his injustice, woe!

8. His buttocks are like my determination, overweighing,
And his waist is like my patience-woe!

9. Oh my critic, blame came before you, so be gentle with me.
The magic of the eyes and the dimples of his lips.

10. If you knew what youth and passion mean,
You would know that passion exceeds restraint.

11. Why didn't you see the branches when you looked
At the night of hair upon shining foreheads?

12. No good in a youth who obeys blame
From one who loves, while lovers moan.

13. I will not claim to be flirtatious or passionate
Until I experience what my peers have.

14. Oh friend, the dawn has smiled and awakened
The leaves of the gardens, the sleeping passions.

15. The flowers relaxed when they awakened,
The eyelids of its narcissi-come, awaken!

16. Stand up, bring it yellow above its cups
Scattered pearls without any doubt.

17. Or bring it red like the cheek of a delighted one,
By Allah, its eyelids, by Allah!

18. They dispel worries from hearts as if they are
The rising of the Owner of Great Glory.

19. The brave Ahmad opened, by the will of Allah,
From the rank of the exalted, equaling them all.

20. He has ambitions that illuminate virtues
Like the sun shining without need of flames.

21. The glories of his greatness were so extensive
That the hands of the arrogant and pretentious fall short of them.

22. He appointed as his minister the hand of the Most High,
And glory in His sublimity is self-congratulating.

23. He took courage, generosity and wisdom
To willingly serve him without any coercion.

24. A lion who spends the night awake while the beasts
And his allies sleep.

25. How many angry problems has his intelligence solved,
Perplexing minds with the obscure doubts!

26. All people praise his traits,
Every person of nobility and low status.

27. Arrogant on the day of wrath and battle,
But in peace he is not vainglorious.

28. The most loyal generous one, whose generosity
Is continuously spoken of eloquently.

29. From the mother of his state, who took refuge in his abode,
Secured from fate and every affliction that hurts.

30. The overseer of the Diwan, his excellence shone
Among the people of merits and foreheads.

31. And leadership of the judiciary, its rulings have attained,
Through him, honor and good prosperity.

32. Stay with us Ahmad Al-Wazir in
The highest position that has no limit.

33. I send to your sublimity the daughter of Quraisha
From Qusayr who has no peers.

34. She congratulates you with the pearls of harmony
And admits falling short and being inarticulate.

35. Accept her, for she will not cease supporting you
With extended assistance increasing glory.

36. Excuse the slaves whose determination was weakened
And the free has no need of eloquence.

37. We attained solace when you presided
In the judiciary, may Allah grant you its opening.
