3. A gazelle, when it sways in wonder or softness

4. The hearts of lovers are plundered
And each soul desires what it is accustomed to

16. A minister, when power comes into his hands
Is advised by its beauty and fortune

17. He took over the abundant seas and they became
Safely tranquil, its waves smoothed

18. The hulls of ships danced securely
On the currents as it sang

19. A noble, generous steed, a horse of pedigree
Forbearing, glorious, a giver of aid and helper

20. With justice, when he executes affairs, adorned
And with victory, if battle comes, armed

21. He ascended in rank, his position grew
Sublime, the Sublime's friend and master

22. The pens tasted sweet eloquence
And quenched the thirst of yearning gazelles at a good watering place

23. He is the lion but not ferocious
And rain but his palms do not pour violently

24. To your court I came congratulating, my master
And none like me has come with what I bring

25. Yet I conveyed praise and congratulations
As Solomon's hoopoe came before

26. Stay with fortune and joy, climbing in rank
The days shine beautifully and grow fortunate with them

27. I was appointed over a sea of generosity like yours
That rages and foams like you in excitement

28. You two are alike, but yours has sweetness
And composure - in both you are unique

29. God willed that you be the Caliph's brother
And the rays of your sublime origin shine with glory

30. You attained the heights of generosity and so
Narratives of nobility lean on you

Joy, praising and lauding you
