١. ما أبقتِ الدُّنيا على ناسِكٍ
كَلّا ولا تَمَّت لِمُسْتهتِرِ
2. Its joy outweighs its sorrows,
As though it were a smile seen through a tear.
٢. سُرورُها يُشرِف عن حُزْنِها
كأنَّها ضِحكَةُ مُستَعْبرِ
